Entered the Final Fantasy contest yesterday, had difficulty letting go of the final piece, but if I'd carried on working on it till I was happy I'd probably have missed the deadline. It's a shame i found out about it so late (only a few days left when i checked my DA page) because I would loved to have had time to work on this. I was going to leave it but then i thought 'I have to enter.... this is Final Fantasy!!!' I'm glad I did, I feel like each time I enter a contest i improve in some way and in this one it was about learning to let go. Getting back into the artworld is tricky enough after all these years but factor in the need to eat, be clothed coupled with a wife and a growing bump on/in my wife then the pressure gets cranked up a notch or three! However there is no success without effort and no reward without some sacrifice (Apparently!!) and what example would i set to my kid (s) if i don't 'get it done.' The art is straightforward enough, although it is time to step things up, but the tricky part is getting out there. And even though plans have been made,websites done and work finished there's still much more to do. So here i am on the raggedy edge. I can do this... b
